Looking for the perfect DIY proposal inspiration? You’re in the right place! At the end of this past winter two of my good friends (and soon to be cousin-in-laws!) got engaged in quite possibly the most creative and magical way. Brian decided to buy a ton of lights, a generator, candles, and rose petals to set up in the woods behind his house in Youngstown. This took MONTHS of preparation.

The night of the proposal (about a half hour before Caiti arrived). Isn’t it cool how tucked away in the woods it was? Right behind the lights there’s a huge lake too!
The guys had to fix everything right before Caiti was set to arrive because a storm had blown over the lights the night prior. It was crazy! But how beautiful did it end up?!

Caiti made it!! It was sprinkling (hence the unbrella) but I feel like it made it even more of a memorable moment.
