Last week, Donny & I met up with Stephen + Alexis at Mill Creek Park for their gorgeous summer engagement session. It was such a pleasure hanging out with these two who were kind enough to drive from West Virginia to meet up with us. They make such a sweet couple and were so easy going, smiley, & fun throughout the entire session, which we can’t get enough of! 🙂

Stephen + Alexis decided on Lanterman’s Mill & Fellows Riverside Gardens for their engagement shoot—two of our favorite local spots, for obvious reasons! (You can’t really beat the natural beauty & variety of these locations!) We were fortunate enough to have perfect weather, pretty natural light, & a calm day for our session, which has been hard to come by this summer, unfortunately. Everything turned out great & we’re so happy with the results!

We began our session at Lanterman’s Mill. There’s so much at this location to play around with as a photographer. We like utilizing the covered wooden bridge, surrounding trails & rock formations, the deck overlooking the waterfall, the mill, and the river when possible. It’s definitely one of Youngstown’s gems and worked perfectly for Stephen + Alexis!

Following our time at the mill, we headed to Fellows Riverside Gardens to make use of the gorgeous fountain, pretty floral bordered walkways, rose garden, Kidston Pavilion, & more! There’s so much variety at this location and it’s a go-to spot in Northeast Ohio, especially Youngstown. It was the perfect secondary location & complemented the more rustic, woodsy feel of Lanterman’s Mill.
