Alex and Becca are the kind of people you want to be friends with – that’s the best way I can describe them! We met up on a frigid, snowy day at Poland Municipal Forest for a fun, nature-filled engagement session. They brought along their beautiful white husky, Hafis, their parents, and fresh coffee and creamer to share (which totally went a long way because we couldn’t feel our fingers)! Poland woods quickly turned into one of my absolute favorite photography locations in the Youngstown area. It just has so many unique elements and lovely scenery!
I love how even in winter you can still find greenery. And all the white snow makes my photographer heart happy!!

While Hafis wasn’t busy being a model in his family pics, he had a blast running across the ice on the creek. π So adventurous.
My favorite part of shooting an engagement session is getting to know a couple personally before the wedding. It’s such a fun opportunity to connect and build trust. In this instance I even got to meet some of their family and they were a TON of fun!! They spent the hour walking around the park with us, helping out, and seriously laughed/had a blast the whole time! π

You know how you just meet a couple and can tell they’re meant to be together? Yep, that’s these two. They’re so full of warmth and love for one another. I’m willing to bet they’ll still be sipping coffee together, hand in hand, in their 80’s.
Coffee, all the coffee. <3

I was so excited when they busted out their Love Your Melon hats and twinkle lights!! PS – Love Your Melon donates 50% of its profits to benefit children with pediatric cancer.
