Cody + Danielle's Urban Columbus Engagement Session at The Book Loft of German Village, Schiller Park, & Main Street Bridge | Columbus Engagement Photos by Jessica Kae Photography

A few weeks ago, Donny & I traveled to Columbus to capture Cody + Danielle’s engagement photos in celebration of their upcoming wedding next September! We visited several beautiful & iconic locations over the course of this shoot, which offered tons of variety. Donny & I had so much fun adventuring in Columbus with Danielle & Cody & we’re so in love with their urban fall gallery!

Cody + Danielle make such a sweet couple! They have been best friends for almost a decade now! Both attended Ohio State University and Cody actually proposed to Danielle right on OSU’s campus! Cody + Danielle decided to stay in Cbus after graduation and have lived there for several years. Although they’re getting married in Cleveland, both thought it would be special to take their engagement photos a little closer to home considering all of the memories they’ve made there together over the years. We were happy to make this happen and traveled down to Columbus to capture it!

When thinking of locations in Columbus to possibly use, Schiller Park & German Village immediately came to mind. These spots are always beautiful to visit and photograph at. German Village, in particular, has such a quaint, old world feel that photographs so well! It’s adorable, filled with cute brick homes, walkways, stores, & garden scenery. This was one spot that we knew we needed to visit during this shoot!

Danielle wanted a nice mix of urban & natural landscapes for their session to give them lots of variety, so we decided on a few different locations, including The Book Loft of German Village, Schiller Park, & Main Street Bridge. All were beautiful, especially in fall with the pretty colors! The Book Loft is gorgeous with its flowered brick alley, twinkle lights, & quaint setting. Schiller Park is always a great option given its variety and location so close to German Village. Both are near downtown, which we briefly visited as our last stop before sunset, hitting Main Street Bridge. This spot offered an iconic Columbus backdrop that complemented these other locations so well, offering lots of scenic variety, both urban & natural settings.
