At the end of this past winter two of my good friends (and soon to be cousin-in-laws!) got engaged in quite possibly the most creative and magical way. Brian decided to buy a ton of lights, a generator, candles, and rose petals to set up in the woods behind his house in Youngstown. This took MONTHS of preparation.

Meet Koda, Shadow, Neko, Balto and Jenna — five newborn husky babies ready to take on the world! When my fiancé, Donny, and I found out his parents dog, Kloie, was preggers, we knew we’d have to set up a little photo session to capture all of the cuteness. This turned into a time consuming project, but one that we were excited to undertake.

Today I’m sharing some highlights from Joey and Kelly’s Christmas tree farm engagement session before all of our snowy days in Ohio are officially over and spring sets in! 🙂 I met up with these two lovebirds at their family’s gorgeous tree farm in New Castle, Pennsylvania the morning of a fresh snowfall. The whole setting was so magical and snow even fell the entire time we took photos! I don’t think we could have asked for a better day.

I met Marisa in college and was so thrilled when, months later, she asked me to be her wedding photographer. Having known Marisa for a while, I was super excited to meet her fiancé, Michael and work with them. I always love engagement sessions because it allows me to get to know the couple and gets us comfortable working together before the wedding.
