Following a major winter storm last week, Donny & I traveled to Olmsted Falls to capture the love between two individuals we had been eager to meet for months, Lauren + Drew. Lauren & I had been planning this session for a while around the weather, waiting for festive conditions & freshly fallen snow. We were in luck this week. NE Ohio received a thick blanket of snow, and we got even more than we needed—about 10 inches too much, probably! That being said, we couldn’t pass up the chance to make the most out of this winter wonderland. Although it was a challenge to work in (and trudge through) at times, we enjoyed it—wet socks, frozen fingers, and all 🙂

At the end of this past winter two of my good friends (and soon to be cousin-in-laws!) got engaged in quite possibly the most creative and magical way. Brian decided to buy a ton of lights, a generator, candles, and rose petals to set up in the woods behind his house in Youngstown. This took MONTHS of preparation.
Alex and Becca are the kind of people you want to be friends with – that’s the best way I can describe them! We met up on a frigid, snowy day at Poland Municipal Forest for a fun, nature-filled engagement session. They brought along their beautiful white husky, Hafis, their parents, and fresh coffee and creamer to share (which totally went a long way because we couldn’t feel our fingers)! Poland woods quickly turned into one of my absolute favorite photography locations in the Youngstown area. It just has so many unique elements and lovely scenery!
